Goodwill of Silicon Valley has partnered with Silicon Valley Career Technical Education (SVCTE) to conduct a CNC Machining course using the facility and equipment at SVCTE. The class will begin in January 2020, and is intended to train adults to be job-ready for open CNC Machinist positions. The classes will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays in the evenings; tentatively from 6-9:30pm (although exact hours are not yet determined).
Job Duties
The instructor will be teaching a 90 hour course to adult students. You will teach job-ready skills to adult students to become employable as a CNC Operators.
This is an opportunity to develop a program that you will execute as the instructor. We have a sample curriculum to use as a guide/template for the instructor to develop their own, or to use as-is.
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a passion for helping others to help themselves.
The student population will be adults with barriers to employment. This could include people with limited or no work experience, individuals that have been criminal justice involved, people with disabilities, etc.

Job Requirements
We are looking for someone with hands on experience in this field and has the desire and ability to teach others.
The ideal candidate will have several years working in the field with the skills necessary to instruct others.
The ideal candidate will be able to work with people from diverse socio-economic backgrounds and able to inspire and train the students in a respectful manner.

• Bending at waist, kneeling, or crouching.
• Reaching overhead, above the shoulders, and horizontally.
• Lifting and carrying objects up to 20 lbs.

$42/hour - Depends on Experience
