Job Duties
This position will work very close with WessDel Engineering in the areas of chemical processing (etching, cleaning, etc.), mechanical assembly and thermal processing of metals for Aerospace applications.
• Perform metal etching surface preparation, chemical cleaning processes, and mechanical assembly.
• Perform general surface finish functions: coating applications, encapsulation, potting, epoxy bonding of flight hardware and material mixing operations.
• Undergo training by WessDel, to include the following topics: contamination control, adhesive bonding, flight hardware handling, chemical etching, and environmental health and safety certifications.
• Operates ovens/furnaces and monitors temperature and bake cycle times.
• Performs miscellaneous related assignments, such as masking, wrapping, etc.
• Responsible for maintaining all related equipment.
• Be highly detail oriented and be able to record project build data both at the part level and system level
• Maintain a clean and professional workspace
• Balance and prioritize multiple tasks
• Fabricate and/or modify existing prototype components/fixtures
• Provide feedback and suggestions to new and/or improved workshop standards, protocols, and processes
• Keep the lab space organized and equipped with supplies
• Works a flexible schedule as required for executing the project.

Job Requirements
High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED), a minimum of (5) years of experience of electromechanical assembly in a high precision exotic metals environment. Possess a strong technical and mechanical aptitude with the ability to learn quickly and adapt to variety of technologies
Technician apprenticeship may be considered with (2) years min. preferred.
Must be able to communicate both written and orally in the English language, good communication is a must.
