GAF Energy is seeking a Production Planner who will manage material planning, work order scheduling and production control of the next generation of building integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) products
You will report to the Director, Manufacturing Engineering, and work cross-functionally to support R&D and Manufacturing builds. You will join a highly focused team that thrives in a start-up, fast-paced environment.
This person will be part of the team that is responsible for manufacturing and delivery of high quality, high-volume photovoltaic solar technology solutions that transform today’s roofs. The role will focus on execution/delivery, creative problem solving and collaborative work necessary to ramp products from laboratory scale to high volume manufacturing
DUTIES:
- Review MRP execution, release work orders and plan production
- Create and maintain production schedules on a daily and weekly basis that maximizes production efficiency and meets customer demand
- Plan materials needed for production work orders and arrange finished goods shipping to downstream distribution hubs
- Ensure timely release of raw material to production team per work orders
- Manage raw, WIP and finished goods inventory level
- Interface with supply chain to clear shortage and drive clear to build
- Utilize MES to track work orders and report on production plan vs. actual performance
- Performs work order variance analysis
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to resolve issues affecting production schedules in a timely manner. Escalate quickly as necessary
- Lead or participate in activities pertaining to workflow and process improvement
- Develop improvement initiatives by effective utilization of materials and resources
- Other duties as assigned

Skills/Experience Preferred
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business management, or related field is preferred
- Proven experience as a production planner in the industry
- Proficiency with ERP/MRP planning systems. Knowledge of Oracle PeopleSoft a plus
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Knowledge of G Suite a plus
- Experience in manufacturing expansions and ramp up a plus
- Proven experience as a production planner in the industry
