Today we have 3 buildings worth machine tools spanning a total floor space of approximately 60,000 sq. feet of machine shop and assembly departments, onsite office manager and an accounts department. We have a workforce of about 150 Employees working in 2 shifts. Our fully functional machine shop, assembly department and inspection unit have established processes and a well-trained staff. All machine programming and inspection are done on site. A-1 JAY'S MACHINING has over 7 million dollars in machine tool capability.
We pride ourselves in being a ONE STOP MACHINE SHOP with capabilities spanning from 5-AXIS machining, CNC MILLING, LATHE, WIRE-EDM, SURFACE GRINDING, BLANCHARD GRINDING, LAPPING, SHEETMETAL, LASER MICRO-MACHINING and CLEAN ROOM ASSEMBLY.
Our facility is built for a 24/7 Part Production run with 5 axis machines with Palet changers. We support our client at various stages of the part right from PROTOTYPING to ENGINEERING to MASS PRODUCTION
We currently serve all size clients in the TECHNOLOGY, MEDICAL, OPTO-MECHANICAL, SEMI-CONDUCTOR, DEFENSE, AUTOMOBILE, AERO-SPACE and SOLAR sectors.
Our MINORITY OWNED business is ISO 9001:2015 and 13485 certified and has been attested to do ITAR level work as well.

Job Duties
Under the direction of the Director of Quality and the Quality Manager Level II inspectors perform and document inspection operations on product throughout the manufacturing process.
Responsibilities
• Must have hands on experience on CMM’s ; must also be proficient with manual inspection tools. Also, must have the ability to apply correct inspection methods and
techniques to perform inspection in a timely manner.
• Make sure all quality equipment is properly maintained and calibrated.
• Create NCR’s on discrepant material/parts and insure that nonconforming product is segregated to the MRB cage. Ensure NCR’s are forwarded to MRB members in timely
manner.
• Ability to work with machinist to maximize the quality of manufactured products, and resolve quality related issues during the first article inspection and in-process
inspection.
• Must have h knowledge of ASME Y14.5M Dimensioning & Tolerance, Mil-Specs, and Quality Management System standards such as SAE AS9100, ISO13485 and
ISO9001.
• Must Conduct Receive Inspection, First Article Inspection, In-Process Inspection & Final Inspection.
• Must have basic computer skills, including the use of ERP systems, Microsoft Office applications, and other common software.

Inspectors must possess excellent communication skill which include but are not limited to the following - Ability to read, analyze, and interpret blueprints, customer specifications, vendor certifications, and purchase order requirements. Must be able to analyze and effectively communicate inspection findings and complete first article, in-process inspection, and non-conformance reports. Level II Inspectors must possess the ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and subordinate level employees.
