Job Duties
Description
The warehouse worker is responsible for accurate receiving, storing, picking, staging and shipping/transfer of raw materials, finished goods, and work in progress products (WIP) in compliance with company standards and procedures. Job duties are to load, unload, stack, and stage finish goods, raw materials, and work in progress products (WIP) using a forklift, clamp truck, or other type of powered industrial truck (PIT); as well as, recording leftovers on the leftover log. Use radio frequency equipment for picking, receiving, put-away and load functions, as required. Maintain the facility’s equipment and materials in a neat and orderly fashion. On a daily basis, inspect forklifts or other equipment. This position requires certification in the operation of Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT), use and care of company-issued radios and phones, basic mathematical skills, and flexibility to work various shifts as required by company production needs.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Unload inbound shipments safely and receive according to Amy’s Kitchen Receiving Procedures and move product to storage locations.
- Efficiently stack and store product and accurately record/scan storage locations for purposes of inventory control.
- Safely and accurately pull and prepare product for shipping, transferring or usage by manufacturing (staging) ensuring that the exact item and quantity
is pulled and shipped, transferred or staged. In accordance to Amy’s Kitchen Staging Procedures and Shipping Procedures.
- Efficiently, safely and with minimum damage, move products or materials from/into staging, storage or on to transportation.
- Keep appropriate records and reports to guarantee inventory accuracy, control and security are maintained. Assist in physical inventories and cycle
counts when required.
- Inspect PIT before usage; keep equipment, tools, and company property neat and clean. Change and charge PIT batteries as needed.
- Report all mechanical problems with machinery to shift lead, warehouse supervisor, or warehouse manager.
- Sorting, wrapping, packing, repacking as needed. Sort and repair pallets when necessary.
- Clean containers, trailers and truck bays as requested.
- As assigned, to provide customer service to Amy’s Employees with respect to maintaining onsite vending equipment for Amy’s Kitchen products,
providing customer service for Amy’s employee orders, and the prompt and accurate receipt and delivery of all express mail/freight deliveries.
- Know correct tare weighing and unit of measuring tables.
- Report all leftovers going out/into the freezer on the leftover log.
- Report all potential inventory shortages, problems with raw materials or quality/sensory deviations immediately to the Shift Lead, Warehouse
Supervisor and/or Warehouse Manager.
- Inspect all food containers for correct sanitation– i.e. trailer, gondolas, boxes, and etc.
- Ensure correct tag labeling and storage procedures are being followed. All food or ingredient containers (cases, bags, cans, buckets, plastic totes,
transfer carts, steel totes, gondolas, etc.) must have an Oracle generated or hand written information label which includes the item number,
description of contents, lot number, License Plate Number (LPN), and weight of contents for work in progress products only.
- All food safety practices must be followed at all times.
- Understand the safe use of each piece of equipment (forklift, pallet inverter, dock leveler, etc.) and monitors all safety devices and guards for correct
position and operation.
- Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements
- Comply with the rules and regulations set forth in Amy's Kitchen Inc. employee handbook, safety manual and GMP booklet.
- Punctual and regular attendance is required.
- During peak season or based on company needs overtime is required.

Skills/Experience Preferred
SKILLS
- Must be able to speak and read English or Spanish.
- Must have Basic English verbal skills.
- Bilingual written/verbal skills English/Spanish are preferred
- Must be able to be certified as a PIT operator (certification process provided by employer)
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 1-3 years of warehouse experience.

$17 to $21 per hour, depending on experience
